How do I complete and Exit interview?
An email will be sent to you as soon as you complete your separation in ServiceNow asking to schedule an exit interview. If you would like to schedule now you can contact hrexit@fullerton.edu.
Where do I turn in my IT Assets?
Your department IT Coordinator will submit an IT clearance for IT to pick up your campus issued desktop/laptop and monitor. Please give your supervisor by your last day in the office any additional IT equipment you may have that is either IT provided or department purchased.
Where do I turn in my University Keys?
For campus keys please return to the University Police Department by your last day in office. If you work in the College Park or University Hall buildings, return your key to your supervisor by your last day in office.
Where do I turn in my parking permit?
Please return to the parking and transportation office by your last day in office. A temporary permit will be issued to you if needed until your separation date.
Where do I turn in my p-card?
When a Cardholder/Responsible Person separates from/leaves the University/Department, the procurement card must be cut up and returned to the Procurement Card Program (CP300). The approver must verify that all outstanding transactions are reconciled and processed appropriately prior to the employee leaving the University.
I completed my retirement paperwork with CalPERS do I still need to complete this separation?
Yes. We need a separation form completed to alert payroll of your retirement status, complete your final pay and have your property cleared.
I have two positions and I am only leaving one, do I still complete the process?
Yes. Payroll and the department will need to separate you from ONLY the position you are departing. However, you will not be cleared from the campus.
When will my final paycheck be ready?
An employee without a written employment contract for a definite period of time who gives at least 72 hours prior notice of his or her intention to quit, and quits on the day given in the notice, must be paid all of his or her wages, including accrued vacation, at the time of quitting. Labor Code Section 202.
An employee without a written employment contract for a definite period of time who quits without giving 72 hours prior notice must be paid all of his or her wages, including accrued vacation, within 72 hours of quitting. An employee who quits without giving 72-hours prior notice may request that his or her final wage payment be mailed to a designated address. The date of mailing will be considered the date of payment for purposes of the requirement to provide payment within 72 hours of the notice of quitting. Labor Code Section 202.

When do my benefits end?
A benefit exit consultation can be scheduled with the Total Wellness by emailing DL-Total Wellness. Premiums for benefits are paid a month in advance. Therefore, the pay warrant you receive for the last pay period of your employment will pay for coverage through the end of the following month, provided your pay is sufficient to cover the deductions.
What about my W-2 Statement?
To receive W-2 and access past W-2 forms you must register with Cal Employee Connect prior to your separation date. For more details visit the Cal Employee Connect page.
