Inclusive Leadership Symposium
The Inclusive Leadership Symposium is an annual event, centered on a selected theme based on the identified keynote speaker’s background and expertise. Each year, the Office of Diversity, Inclusion & Equity Programs hosts intentional training to participants in various leadership roles throughout the CSU Fullerton campus. The overall goal for this yearly symposium is to mold diversity embracing, equity-minded, inclusive leaders.

Workshop
"Is It Me?"
Microaggressions, conscious and subconscious, are messages that impact many marginalized communities by targeting various aspects of their identity. Microaggressions occurring in the workplace can impact employees’ physical health and mental health. It can leave impacted individuals feeling unsupported, unsafe, and as though they are working in a hostile work environment.
During this workshop, attendees will receive foundational information on microaggressions. As they navigate and understand microaggressions, they will receive tools to increase awareness and encourage others to be active bystanders to those experiencing microaggressions. Attendees will engage in interactive small-group exercises challenging participants to use the knowledge and tools learned during the workshop through curated hypothetical situations.
About Paige Diggs
Paige Diggs is a staunch proponent of diversity, equity, and inclusion, an empowering force for marginalized individuals. She received her J.D. and MBA from West Virginia University, along with her B.A. in Mass Communication and Journalism from Fresno State. She currently serves as the inaugural Associate Athletic Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the San Diego State University Athletic Department. She is a sought-after speaker for various organizations allowing her to share the importance of infusing DEI at all levels. In addition to her work in higher education, her extensive industry experience, education, and desire to see everyone win allows her to continue to make a lasting impact on those she encounters.
