Direct Deposit
The direct deposit system provides automatic deposit of all net earnings into the financial institution designated by the participant. It is important that employees verify the routing and account numbers with their financial institution.
COVID-19 Updates:
Given the current changes proceeding COVID-19, the State Controller’s office has discontinued the printing and disbursement of paper direct deposit advices until further notice. Direct deposit advices can be found electronically through the Cal Employee Connect portal. Direct Deposit advices can be obtained under the “Earning Statements” selection.
Eligibility Requirements
There are no eligibility requirements to enroll in direct deposit. All active state employees are eligible for direct deposit.
Direct Deposit General Information
All new direct deposits and direct deposits changes will be done via Cal Employee Connect (CEC) . CEC is a secure website developed by the State Controller of California for all state employees to review payment stubs and obtain W-2 information. New employees will receive their first payment as a live pay warrant. Information obtained from that warrant will be used to create an account with CEC.
Please note the new Direct Deposit feature is an additional option for staff to submit a New/Change Direct Deposit request and will not affect employees already on direct deposit. One new enrollment or change request will be allowed every 30 days. For change requests do not close your original account until you can determine that your new direct deposit has taken effect.
Cancel Direct Deposit
Staff wishing to cancel direct deposit need to contact Payroll Services at payroll@fullerton.edu to request this service be canceled. Payroll will provide further instructions on how to proceed once the cancellation has been processed.
