CAMPUS UPDATES

Employee COVID-19 Test Distribution

Dear Colleagues,

The testing site at the Student Health Center will close for employee testing on June 30, 2022. As of July 1, 2022, eligible employees will be able to pick up a free COVID-19 self-test at the Eastside Visitor Information Center (VIC)PDF File , behind the Marriott hotel.

State, ASI, ASC and Student employees who are eligible for the free COVID-19 self-test include those who:

  • Have tested positive for COVID-19
  • Are experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19
  • Had a close contact on campus
  • Would be able to continue working or return to work sooner by testing

Prior to picking up a COVID-19 self-test, employees should first complete an incident report with the university’s COVID-19 Response Team. Employees may now self-administer and self-read a COVID-19 test. Employees are required to provide/upload a photograph verifying the results as well as the time and date of the test. One of the university’s contact tracers will provide instructions on how and where to upload test results.

Symptomatic Employees

Employees experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 should not go to work. They should complete an incident report and pick up a COVID-19 self-test at the Eastside Visitor Information Center (VIC)PDF File , behind the Marriott hotel.

Employees with a Close Contact

Employees who had a close contact with a COVID-19 positive case should complete an incident report. Those employees who had a close contact on campus may pick up a COVID-19 self-test at the Eastside Visitor Information Center (VIC), behind the Marriott hotel.

Employees Required to Test Weekly per Presidential Directive 22

Employees who are required to test weekly per Presidential Directive 22 will be notified individually concerning how to pick up a self-test and upload the results. These employees are not required to complete an incident report.

If you have questions regarding employee testing, please contact the university’s COVID-19 Response Team at (657) 278-7120.
