About Ignite

Ignite is coordinated by the CSUF Staff Development Center (SDC). SDC’s Ignite program uses gamification principles to motivate CSUF staff to engage in personal and professional development activities.

Program Eligibility

To participate in Ignite, you must…

1. Be a current CSUF staff member*
2. Submit this Ignite Program Registration Form.
3. Submit Ignite Monthly Activities Form by the respective due date.

*We currently define staff as non-faculty members, non-MPPs, & non-student employees due to the source of SDC's funding.

How to Play Ignite

CSUF staff earn points by completing personal or professional development activities and achievements. 

Each month, 10 $35 Titan Shops vouchers are awarded:

• Top 3 scores overall
• Top 3 scores for monthly challenges
• 3 winners of the random drawing for submitting scorecards
• 1 winner of the random drawing for a five-day professional and/or personal development streak

To receive prizes, participants must:

• Meet all the program eligibility requirements,
• Submit individual and/or or monthly scorecard for the respective month, and
• If awarded, complete a Prize/Award Employee Form

Each month staff may track their individual progress using the Ignite Scorecard. Participants will submit their activity points each month using the Ignite Monthly Activities Form. 

Monthly Submission

Staff will have one week after the month's end to complete and submit their monthly activities using the Ignite Monthly Activities Form.

Two options for submission are available:

1. Submit individual activities
2. Submit your completed monthly scorecard 

Monthly Leaderboard

The Ignite Leaderboard will be updated and published on the first business day of each month to reflect the prior month’s experience points submitted by participants.

The leaderboard includes name, department, and monthly scores for all CSUF staff who have submitted monthly activity points for the current year’s game.

• Highest Total Scores
• Highest Challenge Points
• 5-day Streaks
• Certificates Earned

Annual Ignite Celebration

The Annual Ignite Celebration is an opportunity for program participants to celebrate their achievements, recieve awards and giveaways, and share feedback to improve the next year's game. All program participants are welcome to attend. Details will be shared in the SDC Source.
