Academic Appointments

Appointments to faculty (R03) and academic student employment (Unit 11) are managed through Academic HR Services. These include but are not limited to full time and part-time faculty appointments (including librarians, coaches, and academic counselors), department chair, and FERP.

Faculty Early Retirement Program (FERP) and Pre-Retirement Time Base Reduction (PRTB)

FERP initial appointments and changes are processed through Academic HR in accordance with Article 29 in the current collective bargaining agreement between the California State University and the California Faculty Association.

PRTB initial appointments and changes are processed through Academic HR in accordance with Article 30 in the current collective bargaining agreement between the California State University and the California Faculty Association.
