The Department of Mathematics at California State University, Fullerton invites applications for a full-time lecturer position in the area of mathematics teaching at the lower-division level.  CSUF values and is dedicated to the goal of building a diverse community.  We strongly encourage applications from candidates who can demonstrate through their teaching, research or service that they can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our community.

Candidates for the position should be persons with strong interest and experience in mathematics teaching at the lower-division level. Primary responsibilities include 1) teaching lower-division mathematics courses, such as “stretch” college algebra, traditional college algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus; and 2) coordinating and developing multi-section mathematics courses at the first-year level. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with and help support other instructors, as well as the opportunity to be involved in course development activities, including curriculum development, implementing alternative classroom strategies, and using effective instructional technologies.

The Mathematics Department has 38 full-time faculty members and offers undergraduate degree programs with concentrations in Teaching Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, and Applied Mathematics. The Department also offers a master’s degree program with options in Teaching Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics.

Rank and Salary
This is a full-time, non tenure-track, lecturer position. Appointment is for one year with an ending date of June 30, 2020, and may be renewed for additional year(s) based on satisfactory performance and funding availability. Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
