Full-Time Lecturer – 12 Month
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at California State University, Fullerton, invites applications for a Full-Time Lecturer position in the Dean’s Office with appointment to begin Fall 2018. This position will coordinate the college’s Online Degree Completion Program and lead the data analytics efforts of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Candidate will coordinate curriculum development and revision to ensure that the Online Degree Completion Program meets CSU standards for high quality online education. Responsibilities will also include the construction and maintenance of the Online Degree Completion website, videos, online information sessions, and marketing materials. This position will recruit faculty and lead faculty professional development efforts. In addition, the successful candidate will establish needs, acquire access to, and analyze student enrollment, retention, and success data for the college. This position will prepare interpretative reports and visual presentations based on findings. Will provide instruction to faculty and staff on data analytics to support student success and hold regular office hours with HSS department chairs and faculty leaders to discuss data needs and to develop department-level projects.
- Master’s degree in Sociology, Psychology or related field.
- Strong background in research methodology and statistics in an educational setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population.
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide and culturally-diverse range of students, faculty, and staff.
- Prior higher education teaching experience.
- Ability to teach courses in research methods and data analytics.
- Experience or training in online teaching pedagogy and the development of online courses.

Rank and Salary
This is a full-time Lecturer - 12 month position, non tenure-track. Appointment is for one year and may be renewed for additional years, based on satisfactory performance and funds availability. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary is subject to budgetary authorization and any California State University System faculty contract increases.
