Classification/Compensation & Position Changes
Welcome! This web page contains helpful information regarding position changes that
occur primarily before a position is posted for recruitment, or after a staff member
or manager has been hired into a position. These position changes include changes
in duties and responsibilities that result in revised position descriptions
and may necessitate a classification review to determine the appropriate
placement of the position with the California State University classification structure,
temporary and on-going reassignments, and management and staff compensation
changes. This website is not intended to provide information with respect
to faculty (unit 3) positions or student worker/assistant positions.
If you have any questions regarding the information on this website or suggestions
for improvement, please do not hesitate to contact Maria L Gonzalez, Classification
