Salary & Wage Administration

Automatic Deposits

Employees qualifying for direct deposit may have their pay warrants automatically deposited into their bank or credit union. Contact the Payroll Office for the Direct Deposit form.

Overtime and Compensating Time Off (CTO)

Overtime is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The appropriate administrator will determine in advance whether overtime will be paid in the form of compensation or compensating time off (CTO).

Payday

Employees are paid once a month, normally at the end of the month. Hourly employees are paid on the 15th of the month for the prior month. Individual employees should consult their appointment offer for mandatory and voluntary payroll deductions.

Salary Increases

Contingent upon budgetary, funding and collective bargaining, the various types of salary increases include: General Range Adjustment, Special Salary Adjustment, Performance-Based Adjustment and other adjustments which result from specific personnel actions.

Shift Differential

Pay differentials are made to those employees who work the evening or night shifts and who are in classifications which are listed in "Classes Eligible for Shift Deferential" in the Salary Schedule.

10/12 and 11/12 Pay Plans

Participation is by mutual agreement between the appropriate administrator and the employee. Employees in the 10/12 Pay Plan work 10 months but salary is paid over the full 12 month period. Employees in the 11/12 Pay Plan work 11 months but salary is paid over the full 12 month period. Eligible employees may apply for these pay plans by completing the Request to Participate in 10/12 or 11/12 Pay Plan form.
